Take on the RUN X World Championship 5K Challenge and join a global community of runners, joggers and walkers all striving towards the same goal.
Whether you’re an elite athlete chasing a personal best, a regular runner looking for extra motivation, a first-time 5K participant, seasoned walker, or simply searching for a fun new fitness challenge, everyone is welcome; this challenge is designed for all abilities.
The goal is to complete 5K on one of our treadmills as quickly as possible in one session. Everyone who completes 5K will be entered into a prize draw.
Taking part couldn't be easier:
1. Join the challenge through our App,
2. On your next gym visit select the RUN X 5K challenge on the treadmill,
3. Get moving! Â
4. Your result will appear in your App account and will also show your position on the centre and global leader boards.
You can take part in the challenge as many times as you like, and whether you race, run, jog or walk, every finish counts.

Everybody who completes the RUN X 5K challenge by 30 September will be entered into a prize draw for a chance to win a pair of trainers worth up to ÂŁ200, other prizes include RUN X branded merchandise.

The RUN X World Championship 5K Challenge can take you places…from your local Active Lifestyle Centre to the world stage.
Log your fastest RUN X 5K on one of our Skill Run machines during the qualification window for a chance to reach the Regional Finals and then the World Finals, which will be held at an iconic international venue. There will also be an opportunity to win a share of Technogym’s incredible $100,000 prize pool, which will be awarded to the top 10 elite finalists. Your run must be validated by a RUN X specialist (a registered Active Fitness Instructor).
OCTOBER–JANUARY 2027: THE OFFICIAL QUALIFICATION WINDOW. Log your fastest 5K on a clearly marked RUN X Skill Run machine in centre. This will be a set session with one of our qualified Run X specialist in attendance to approve your run qualification time.
JANUARY–FEBRUARY 2027: REGIONAL FINALS. The top performers in each age group and division compete in supervised events at a RUN X Official Centre.
SATURDAY 20th AND SUNDAY 21st MARCH 2027: THE WORLD RUN X FINALS. The strongest runners from around the world meet live to compete for a share of an incredible $100,000 prize pool from Technogym, which will be shared among the top 10 elite finalists:
- $50,000 awarded to male finalists
- $50,000 awarded to female finalists
