Hello, I’m Joe and I’ve been working at Active Centres for 16 years, having worked my way up from Fitness Instructor to Fitness Manager, Personal Trainer, and Group Exercise Coach.
Fitness and Wellbeing is a huge passion of mine. I am lucky enough to have been able to help hundreds of customers of all ages and abilities work towards achieving their goals, including coaching a client who won gold in the down syndrome swimming European championships – a very proud moment.
In my spare time, I enjoy coaching both Men’s Rugby and youth cricket.

Hello, I’m Calum,
I have moved around many different training disciplines on my own fitness journey – but have found over the years that climbing is where my passion really lies. It requires skill in a number of areas like upper body/finger strength, mobility, balance and core.
I believe health and wellbeing is a fundamental part of life and that there is a place for everyone to take part. My interests lie in all areas of fitness and I thoroughly enjoy learning about new practices.

I have worked with a very broad range of people with a variety of goals and achieved results with all. I have spent a lot of time with those who are new to the gym and are learning to get to grips with everything. Or those who are returning after a long time away and need help with getting back into it. I have also worked with people that have a variety of sport specific goals and spent a lot of my time researching and learning about the broad science behind gaining muscle and strength in the most efficient ways possible.

My specialties lie in training that tries to improve health and general quality of life. Whether that is feeling more body confident, becoming more able in day to day or working toward something sport specific. My workouts are built around those core principals. They are not complicated and always start gradually to ensure we give the body a chance to adapt and adjust appropriately. Hi, I’m Dan, I’ve worked as a fitness instructor for 3 years and qualified as a PT through my degree in sport and exercise science. I have a keen interest in sport and fitness, through playing football competitively and have gained conditioning experience for team sports through Strength and Conditioning sessions at academy and university levels. Hi, I’m Chloe and I am a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer. I have a strong passion for weightlifting and calisthenics, and enjoy teaching core and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) as well. (Calisthenics is a form of exercise, which uses your own bodyweight against the force of gravity. Exercises are performed with differing levels of intensity and rhythm, to help build and enhance strength and muscularity).
I have been lifting weights for over 4-years, and introduced calisthenics training to my workouts a year and a half ago.
