Learn to Swim!
Our Learn to Swim programme has been designed to ensure swimming lessons for all ages, meets a high and consistent standard.
THE SWIM ENGLAND PROGRAMME IS THE MOST OF SUCCESSFUL OF ITS KIND IN ENGLAND WITH OVER 80% OF SWIMMING LESSONS FOLLOWING THE PROGRAMME. DEVELOPED BY SWIMMING EXPERTS, THE FRAMEWORK ALSO FORMS THE CORNERSTONE OF CURRICULUM SWIMMING LESSONS IN ENGLAND.
- We follow Swim England’s accredited Learn to Swim Programme and all our Teachers are Swim England or Swimming Teachers Association (STA) qualified.
- Coloured hats are used to show progression through the programme.
- Parents and guardians can monitor their child’s progress online using Home Portal.
- Join our lessons at any time – enrolment is always open and there are no waiting lists!
- Pay for your lessons by direct debit and your child will also enjoy free unlimited swimming at any of our pools!
- Celebrate key milestones with our certificates, badges, graduation days and Swim Star of the Month awards!
- Our lessons are designed for everyone – from babies making their first splash, to adults who want to swim 200 metres and beyond!
SpongeBob comes to Active Lifestyle Centres!
From December to March, Active Lifestyle Centres are teaming up with The SpongeBob Movie and Swim England to bring a splash of underwater excitement to your child’s swimming lessons! Get ready for giggles, confidence-building, and plenty of “I’m ready!” moments.
For one week each month, your little swimmers will take part in SpongeBob-themed activities that make learning essential water safety skills more fun than ever.
To become a competent and safe swimmer, it’s essential for everyone to master four important water survival skills developed through Swim England’s Learn to Swim Programme:
Swimming 100 metres
Treading water for 30 seconds
Floating for 60 seconds
Swimming in clothing
Our exciting SpongeBob water safety activities focus on building confidence, enhancing skills, and ensuring that every child can enjoy the water safely.
How It Works
Our expert instructors blend creative play with top-quality teaching, ensuring your child learns vital skills while having an absolutely whale of a time. With SpongeBob leading the fun, every lesson becomes an adventure under the sea!
Starting Thursday 11th December – Wednesday 17th December
There will be more SpongeBob themed weeks in January, February, and March.
